We Treat the Whole Family

From newborns to seniors, Dr. Coombs has the training and experience to provide safe, effective chiropractic care at every stage of life.

👶

Pediatric Care

Children's spines experience significant stress from birth, falls, sports, and carrying heavy backpacks. Dr. Coombs uses extremely gentle, age-appropriate techniques adapted for small bodies. Many parents bring their children for colic, ear infections, growing pains, and sports injury prevention — as well as general wellness checkups.

🤰

Pregnancy Care

Chiropractic care during pregnancy is safe, gentle, and highly effective for relieving low back pain, pelvic pain, sciatica, and round ligament discomfort. As your body changes and your center of gravity shifts, chiropractic adjustments maintain pelvic balance and spinal alignment — supporting both mother and baby throughout all trimesters.

👴

Senior Care

As we age, joint degeneration, spinal stenosis, and arthritis become more common. Dr. Coombs uses gentle, low-force techniques appropriate for older patients — addressing pain, improving mobility, and supporting independence. Regular chiropractic care is one of the most effective tools for maintaining quality of life and preventing falls in senior patients.

New Patient FAQ

Have more questions? We've answered the most common ones below. If you don't see your question, call us at (304) 943-0124 — we're happy to help.

No referral is needed. You can call our office, walk in during business hours, or submit our online form to request an appointment. We welcome new patients directly — no prior referral from your primary care physician is required.
Most patients feel immediate relief after an adjustment, not pain. Some experience mild soreness for 24–48 hours after their first few visits — similar to how muscles feel after a good workout — as the body adapts to its corrected alignment. Dr. Coombs uses gentle, precise Gonstead techniques tailored to each patient's comfort level. If at any point you feel uncomfortable, simply let him know.
Your first visit typically takes 45 to 60 minutes. This includes a thorough health history consultation, comprehensive physical examination (posture, range of motion, orthopedic and neurological testing), a review of findings, and your first adjustment if appropriate. Subsequent appointments are generally 15 to 30 minutes.
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows easy movement. Athletic wear, yoga pants, or casual clothes work great. Avoid tight jeans or restrictive garments. You will remain clothed during your adjustment — there is no need to change into a gown.
Absolutely. Dr. Coombs sees patients of all ages — from newborns to teenagers. Pediatric chiropractic uses extremely gentle, age-appropriate techniques that are quite different from adult adjustments. Many parents bring their children for wellness checkups, colic, ear infections, growing pains, postural issues, and sports injuries. It is completely safe and well-tolerated even by infants.
We do our best to accommodate new patients as quickly as possible. Walk-ins are welcome during office hours — Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 9 AM–1 PM and 3–7 PM; Tuesday and Thursday 9 AM–12 Noon. For a scheduled appointment, call (304) 943-0124 or submit the form above and we will contact you within 24 hours to confirm.
